Monitoring is always essential when you are dealing with enterprise systems. I’ve used this tool in both business and personal use cases and I love it. I find the interface compared to alternatives like Nagios is a little more intuitive and the powerful “sensors” are unmatched in what I’ve found so far. It is truly a very capable utility. Would you be surprised to know this very website is being monitored by it? 🙂 I also use UptimeRobot to keep an eye on it… never hurts to have a couple of monitors on your business-critical applications. Not to say a personal website is business-critical but how else do I nerd out in my free time?
